Purpose:

Engine-3
responds to fires and motor vehicle accidents from the Pingree Hill station.

At building fires Engine-2 is a first-due piece positioned near the building where firefighters can pull hand lines and get the tools they need. Tanker-2 is expected to arrive next to deliver a continuous supply of water.

For motor vehicle accidents Engine-2 brings a portable hydraulic pump powering "Jaws of Life" hydraulic tools. An onboard electric generator delivers electricity for electric power tools and scene lighting. Engine-2 also carries medical equipment so patient needs can be attended to while the vehicle is stabilized and work is done to safely remove victims from the wreck.
